WWMT-TV airs "The Digital Future of Television" Segment
On July 1st, WWMT-TV/Kalamzoo devoted airtime and coverage to the digital television transition.
Viewers were invited to call-in with their digital transition questions during the station's 5-7pm news segment.
Those handling the phone bank included MAB DTV Team Members Jennifer Preslar, Larry Estlack and Dan Kelley.
The MAB Team was accompanied by WWMT Chief Engineer Jim Steffy and sister station WLAJ/Lansing Chief Engineer Gary Williams.
All four took phone calls virtually non-stop for 2+ hours; and the station also took listener questions via email.
This followed a visit by the NAB's DTV Trekker Road Show earlier in the day at an area Wal-Mart. Representative Fred Upton (R-St. Joseph) visited the exhibit during the day.
